Columbia Invents a Camera That can Power Itself

Recently researchers at Columbia University have created a camera that can take pictures that does not need a battery and that can power itself. I think that this is pretty cool because you often find yourself not being able to take pictures or do things on electronics because the batteries are out. I think that this technology could be used in other products such as phones to make it easier for the user to have a device that is always charged. This would be very helpful for people who are on the go a lot or in areas where power is not readily available. I also think that it is cool that the camera is actually functioning. This means that the technology that is needed to make it work is really coming along and that people are figuring out how to optimize it. This means that more self powered tech is probably just right around the corner, which is great for the average person during this era when everybody is busy every minute of the day. Overall, I am really excited to see what this technology can be used on other than cameras. Link to the original article with more information on the camera.
